Шотландская пост-рок группа Mogwai выпустила 6 марта новый альбом "Mr. Beast", который я бы посоветовал к прослушиванию тем, кто хорошо или хотя бы спокойно относится к введенному в наш обиход с легкой руки DD термину "полное психоделическое гумно"
Из более ранних работ группы можно посоветовать, в принципе, всё. Начать можно с альбома 2003 года "Happy Songs for Happy People".

Прослушал альбом коллектива под названием Rock Action 2001 года. Хоть и не часто слушаю музыку подобного плана, но творчество этих товарищей мне понравилась, уже слушал этот альбом три раза подряд не останавливаясь. В общем приятная, завораживающая музыка. От фоновых звуков песни Sine Wave, напоминающих хруст снега под ногам, забегали мурашки по телу-довольно интересно звучит. В общем музыка коллектива интересна.

Кстати, весь Mogwai и оба альбома Oceansize были переизданы нашим "Союзом" и продаются по гуманным ценам.

Mogwai совместно с Kronos Quartet записал саундтрек к фильму The Fountain, сочиненный Клинтом Мэнселлом. Очень мрачный и атмосферный.
А еще - саундтрек к документальному фильму "Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait" - о Зинедине Зидане, разумеется.
Хотелось бы услышать отзывы о последнем, если кто-то слушал.

Это не их музыка - насколько я понял, они и Kronos были приглашены для записи сочиненного Мэнселлом. А вот саундтрек "Зидана" - это уже собственное.
